Terms of Use

Effective 29 September 2026

These terms govern your use of this website and the member portal, operated by the Royal Order of Constantine the Great and Saint Helen (“the Order”, “we”). By using them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Accounts

  • You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. An account is for one person; do not share your sign-in or let anyone else use it.
  • Keep your password secure and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
  • Creating an account does not make you a member. Admission to the Order, rank and honours are conferred by the Order under its own statutes and at its discretion, and are not purchased through this site.
  • The portal is intended for adults. Young people take part in the Order’s activities through a parent or guardian.

Membership, dues and subscriptions

Membership dues, event tickets, Royal Chapter subscriptions and store purchases are priced as shown at the time you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms for that transaction.

Royal Chapter subscription. A subscription renews automatically each month or year, as you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and access continues until then. We do not give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires.

Standing. Access to parts of the portal depends on your membership being in good standing. If dues are unpaid, or membership is suspended or ends, access may be limited accordingly.

Events

  • Seats are confirmed only once payment is complete. Seats held during checkout are released if payment is not completed.
  • If you can no longer attend, contact the Registry as early as possible. Refunds for events are at the Order’s discretion unless the event’s own page states a refund policy.
  • If the Order cancels an event, we will refund what you paid for it. If an event’s date, time or venue changes, we will tell ticket holders, and you may ask for a refund if you can no longer attend.
  • Your pass admits the seat it was issued for. Keep its link private: anyone holding it can present it at the door.
  • Attendees are expected to observe the dress code and the conduct appropriate to the Order’s ceremonies and gatherings.

Donations and the store

Donations are voluntary and generally not refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 30 days. Whether a donation is tax-deductible depends on your circumstances; the Order will provide a receipt, but cannot give tax advice.

Regalia and other store items are available to members only, subject to availability and any restriction by rank. If an item arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery.

The member directory and messages

The directory and the portal’s messaging, committee and chat features exist so members can take part in the life of the Order. Information you see about other members is shared with you in confidence and only for that purpose. You must not:

  • copy, export or collect other members’ details, or use them for marketing, solicitation, fundraising for other causes, or any commercial purpose;
  • send unwanted, harassing, abusive, defamatory or discriminatory messages;
  • share another member’s information outside the Order without their permission;
  • post content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or contains malicious software.

You remain responsible for what you post. You give the Order permission to store and display it in the portal as needed to provide the service. The Order may remove content, and suspend or close an account, that breaches these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain access to parts of the portal or data you are not entitled to, interfere with its operation, probe or test its security without our written permission, or use automated means to access it other than ordinary search-engine indexing of public pages.

Email and text messages

We send account messages you need, such as receipts, passes and security notices. Newsletters and announcements can be stopped with the unsubscribe link in any of them. Text messages are sent only if you opt in, and are governed by our Text Message Terms.

Ambassador Programme

Members who join the Ambassador Programme do so under a separate ambassador agreement, accepted in the portal, which sets out commissions, payment and conduct. If that agreement and these terms conflict on a matter it covers, the agreement governs.

The Order’s name, arms and content

The Order’s name, coat of arms, insignia, photographs, texts and other content on the site belong to the Order or are used with permission. You may view and print them for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not use the Order’s name, arms or insignia to suggest its endorsement, or reproduce its content for other purposes, without written permission.

Disclaimers and liability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the Order is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, and its total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to the amount you paid the Order in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You may stop using the portal at any time, and ask us to close your account by writing to support@rocgsh.org. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or when membership ends. Membership records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above and tell members of significant changes by email or in the portal; continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, and disputes are subject to the courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
